April Repair Cafe
The April Repair Cafe fell on the Easter weekend. We were pleased to welcome a record number of visitors and 119 items for repair. 86 of them were fixed by our amazing team of 48 volunteers on the day.
We were busy on bikes but we could have handled a lot more clothing and textile repairs. As well as people bringing in their repairs, we had a lot of people visiting the SPORTS themed zone alongside the Repair Cafe.

National Emergency Briefing
The National People’s Emergency Briefing, launches nationwide on 7th April. It brings together key moments from the National Emergency Briefing with reactions from members of the public – alongside some well-known voices including Jennifer Saunders and Deborah Meaden.
There are hundreds of screenings across the UK including 2 in Maidstone.
Planters at Maidstone West Station
On Sunday 19th April 2026 we take delivery of 2 raised bed planters and need YOUR help to carry them over from Platform 2
to Platform 1 at Maidstone West Station.
There is no direct access to platform 1 from the car park, so Sunday is the most convenient day to do this because there are fewer trains, and the train times are in our favour.
We have been given permission to use the Barrow Crossing to do this, but if the weather is unkind, we will have to carry everything up, across and down the footbridge.
